weird prob..maybe spyware prob??

hi!
im new to this forum...
n hope u guys cld help me solve my prob as i went to another forum but they cldnt help...
i went to a certain site n after dat visit,ive been hit by lots of spywares...
n 1 of dem is SPy Sheriff..
ive done all d cleaning eg spyware scan,registry mechanic n all........
but pop ups still keep on coming..
i did another virus scan,n it found 1 virus dat is DOWNLOAD.TROJAN
after a while,d scanning hang!!!

after some googling,i think it shd b bcoz of spy ssheriff...
btw, i suspect dat other spyware is involve too..
any way 2 clear the whole com from spyware other than reformatting/deleting any files from my computer?

currently im using sygate to stop dis pop ups from coming..
any other way other than reformatting??

I would also try downloading Anti-Vir for your anti-virus, and a combination of Spybot and Ad-Aware SE for your spyware/adware concerns. All of these programs can be found at www.download.com

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the bottom part of the log (should be a list of files) and paste them here.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."...then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

in hijackthis remove the about blank and the search bar ones.
DL and install " the cleaner " by moo soft, it is a FREE , FULL WORKING 30 day trial, do not forget to do the updates to the cleaner before running.
forget the freebie programs, you need industrial strength removers like spyware doctor, F-SECURE removes viruses and spyware and has a firewall.
BPS ( bullet proof software ) removes spyware. The downside is I do this professionally and it is not unusuall to have to run 2 - 3 programs for each catagory to get everything.
