What cable to buy for rx 580

So I recently ordered a sapphire rx580 nitro+ 8gb and it requires an 8 pin cable to connect to the power supply however I am having trouble finding this specific cable to buy. I have managed to find female to male 8 pin cables (I need male to male) and I've found male to males that have different pin shapes on them. But I am yet to find one that will work. Any idea where I could find one to buy in the uk?

Your PSU should have it already, if it doesn't you're probably best advised to get one that has it. If you have two 6 pin PCI-E connectors you can get a 6 pin to 8 pin converter. I would not advise using a Molex to 8Pin, usually indicates your PSU doesn't have enough power to push the card.

I have the CX500M PSU I think it did come with the cable but unfortunately I cannot find it. Is my best bet to buy a new PSU then? If so what wattage?

That looks like exactly what I need. Does https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP...270621&sr=1-6&keywords=Type+3+PCIe+Cable&th=1 this work aswell? As far as I can tell it is the same pin layout (The other one is harder to buy online and this one matches my colour scheme though a bit more expensive)

Doesn't look like it. That premium cable is for the RMi series, RMx series, SF Series, Corsair Type 4 PSU according to their website.

Why is it harder to buy? You can buy directly through Corsair for that exact part.
