What card is better for gaming??

I have a p4 1.3
764MB ram PC600 RDram

Dell 8100

Keep in mind that EQ2 needs DirectX 9 compatible video card w/ pixel shader and vertex shader support.
Do they both have them items??

The 6600 would be better, but you can get the 9600XT for under $100.

And yes, that PSU will be more than enough.

6600 is better than 9600xt, but i think u computer will still be poor for gaming because u have very old cpu

Eq2 takes about 500-750 mb of ram. Thats just the game you gotta take into consideration other little programs that are running in the background. When i was playing eq2 my ram usage was roughly 800-900mbs. The graphics in that game are so great, back when it was released even top of the line computers couldn't or had trouble running it w/ max all settings.
