Widescreen Monitors

I want a widescreen monitor for my computer because I will be watching my movies and replacing my tv with it. Although, I am worried if it will affect my everyday gaming and computer tasks such as surfing the web. What will I have to adapt to and what changes will I have to make if I go widescreen.

I think it wouldnt make anything more difficult, if a game requires a normal ratio im pretty sure it will just set itself to that ratio and leave black lines on either side.

Yea, i've seen that before to.. Or, you could always have a regular monitor for surfing, and the widescreen for movies and games that use it!
