Will A+ teach me enough?

Hey all, haven't been here in months now... decided to come back and check it out! I'm studying for my A+ cert and wondering if, when I'm finished if I'll be able to repair and service computers to a "professional" standard. I know it basically qualifies you as a computer tech when you have it, and maybe I've just answered my own question, but would I be able to set up a local "business" run from my house repairing and servicing computers? This would be more of a hobby for pocket money than a real business.

I would say A+ is a good start, especially if you're looking to do it for pocket money. I personally have my A+ and working towards my Network+ and MSCE. Most computer repairs all fall under what you learn throughout your A+ certification so you should be good. Plus, it'll make you look even more "attractive" to people who are looking for freelance technicians to fix their computers.
