Easily, especially if you OC. Generally, any Intel quad handles multi-GPU setups without a hitch.

yeah it will handle them no probs but may i ask why do you need so much power?

1 4870X2 alone will be able to handle pretty much anything you throw at it with no probs.

why dont you go with 1x 4870X2 and spend more on a better quad than a q6600?

thats what i would do if i had that sort of budget.

yes, the C2Q will handle the cards just fine, as the others have said. but i think you would be better off performance-wise with one x2 (only for the immediate future, of course,) and a better C2Q

hmmm, i might do that but if i get a faster cpu then i need a faster mobo and faster ram it bumps the price of the whole computer up. kinda wanted the crossfire for bragging rights.
