Will this card run BF2 and Doom 3 well??

I just ordered a new computer (see "please help..." under desktops for complete system info.), but I got an ATI Radeon X700 256 mb. card. Will this card run Doom 3 and BF2 well, also, is this just a good all around card??

What do you consider high resolution? I have a 19" CRT and the native resolution is 1280x1024......

that not the highest resolution available but it's highish.

Oh, so don't go above anything like 1600 x 1280. I don't plan on going that high anyway, I normally keep it just at 1280x1024....

dont think it will run at 1280x1024 at any level of detail

crt's don't have a native resolution, so it won't blur if you use a lower resolution.

I started off with a x300se, and I was able to play battlefield 2 at low res. I recently upgraded to a x800xl. too bad my screen is only at 600 x 800.


also, while on the subject, if I got a new monitor that has a max resolution higher than 600 x 800, will I get better picture? The one im using know is lcd tv that has a vga input.
