I have some suggestions but would need to know what kind of budget you have. You would need a different video card, hard drive and power supply.

You picked a laptop hard drive and not a desktop hard drive. So here is a desktop hard drive.

To play BF3 you need at least a 6870 or 560TI

I have the 6870 and can play BF3 decently.
With these being the recommended.

NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 570 OR ATI RADEON 6950

Also, you'll need a better power supply.

dont forget to the OP. the h77 board you picked wont let you overclock the cpu...you will need a z77, z68, or p67 board for that. if your not going to overclock the cpu, then keep the board you chose, and get a non k cpu.

You may be forced to go with an AMD build.

Still looking at around $611.93 without shipping.

Do you have the Operating system and a dvd drive to put in this build? You can only reuse the OS if its a retail version and not an OEM version.

If that copy is the retail version and is already installed on his system then you can't use it. It can only be installed on one machine at a time.
