Windows 7 takes ages to shutdown

I have Windows 7 Home premium, since I started playing Battlefield 3 on my PC I see my PC is taking ages to shut down. I think about 2-3 minutes (2-3 minutes after the windows logon screen appears). Now that is slow shutdown time.

Can anyone tell me what must be the issue? Of course I am running lot of background programs, but I close everything then shutdown.
But the process of shutdown takes time. Talking about boot time, its fast enough. Extra info: HDD 7200 RPM, RAM 4GB 1333MHz.

Go through your things and find stuff you don't want, need or don't know where it came from and get rid of it

Thats what I do to make my Computer faster:)

Use MSCONFIG to disable any services (ensure you click hide MS services), and startup programs.

Go to CMD (as admin) and type (with spaces): sfc /scannow

Update Windows.

Defrag disk
