Windows 7 with active directory

I want to set up a active directory to live share documents over network with 2 windows 7 pc's is this possible or is there 3rd party software to do this.

I have tried with windows active directory but it keeps asking for server adress wich i dont have at the moment. (the server I meen)

You need a server in order to have a active directory domain controller.

You don't need active directory to use network shares, just enable the shares on each PC with teh appropriate permissions.
