I cant seem to be able to put icons on my desktop i dnt have any at the minute and when i make one it just seems to vanish no error or nothing any help would be great

Unless if it was a registry issue caused by the virus...in that case Windows 7 doesn't suck xD

Right click "desktop" go to "view" in the drop down. "Show Icons" click to put a "check" in the box. If already checked "uncheck" then recheck.
