Xbox360 to an LCD

This is a bit o0f a noob question, anyways I looked on google and found that you need a VGA cable.

Qusetion 1 - our 17-inch LCD monitor probably has a 1280x1024 native resolution while most Xbox games only support 640x480. This means your LCD monitor has to stretch the image to its 1280x1024 native and this will affect the image quality. CRT monitors can display a wide variety of resolution natively.
Is this true?

Q.2 can I connect my x360 to any monitor?or does it have to be a special type of monitor

Q.3 Can I connect my x360 to my laptop? [would be better than buying a new lcd screen]

thanks for the help

yeah, things are a lot more compatible these days, I've got a tv in my house that has my xbox 360 and wii connected to it... but can also have my laptop connected if I wanted to, via vga or hdmi, but anything that has hdmi should support anything else with hdmi, or it makes no sense for it to exist ;-)
