Looking for a cheap laptop, I can use in bed, to write a blog, use photoshop, flash cs3, and illustrator(maybe not). Its basically for surfing the net and designing, I am tired o sitting at my desk, I am a lazy bum and have always worked more in bed HAAA :D

I would like it to be under 450 but 500 is the most I want to spend...

Been checking out these 3 so far,

Acer from Newegg

Compaq aren't they pieces of crap???

Laptop on Ebay Will expire in a day so check it out while you can

Excuse me if I sound like a di** I am just a bit frustrated with this whole "LAPTOP" thing considering the prices are still the same as they where 5 years ago and yet I can build a bitchen-fast pc for under 350 on newegg that would blow any laptop under 1,000 into the water, just a bit lame if u ask me..

That compaq that you were looking at is the one that I found yesterday online, and I have decided that I'm going to go out to Best Buy and buy it tomorrow. It has a 250GB HDD and 2Gbs of RAM. Now that is a great deal IMO. :D

ok, well for $500 not going to get a very good designing laptop really,

Newegg would be the place to get something from, ebay isn't good, not reliable and never know what your getting. Newegg is reliable.

For $500 and given your software usage, the cupboard is pretty bare...

If at all possible, I would suggest a Macbook...

Since MS has stopped with XP, Vista will take over... And for $500, you're only gonna find a laptop with 1GB or RAM. It will be tough running Vista on it alone, and even worse when trying to use an application like Photoshop/Flash that hungry for RAM.

MacBook is 1000$ Maybe get a powerbook g4 12''/15''/17'' on ebay or an iBook G4

....

**** macs, I will never buy one, they are slow they suck my wife has a macpro with a 30 inch monitor i hate looking at it, it sucks. So that is out of the question... As far as an acer, I mean wtf? 550 and I still get only 1 gb of ram? I will upgrade but still, I mean 1st off if it comes with vista I am straight away downgrading to xp theres nooo way i am running that piece of crap os.

Also, I am bring my budget up to 650 what would u recommend I do now??

Thanks again for the help,

David

i don't care about sites just trying to find the best deal, was thinking of buying at best buy since they are near me and i can take it back if it gives me any crap.

The one u just showed me sucked, plus its not even a core2duo its a coreduo not the same, a turion would beat the crap out of that anyways...
