Build me a Gaming Rig! £1000 budget

I don't want to spend more than £1000 on parts. You do not need to include the monitor, keyboard, mouse or Operating system. Just the hardware.
What parts would you recommend?

well for a start why dont you look at either quad core or intel i5 cpu and a ddr3 graphics card with 512 or even 1gb onboard and id say 850 w psu and plenty of brand name ram like crucial etc ?

great system but he said he didnt need an os so your actually within the budget but i notice there no psu with the case so he would need a psu aswell.

I was thinking more pentium i7

You mean a "Core i7?" Are you referring to the fact that the older CPUs Intel released were the Pentium D and the Pentium III and IV?

****EDIT***

PSUs that come with the case are generally shit anyways. And besides, Neva already picked out a PSU.

Awesome setup, but it would be under £1000 because you dont need to include the windows 7 xD
I'm intrigued about that graphics card though, ive never heard of it.

Well ive actualy edited my orig post and made it within budget...if he doesnt need an os then he can take the windows 7 off the list and then it will be even less :)

 I have included a PSU in my list....its the OCZ 700W :)

oh yeah soz didnt see the psu well within budget for a great system then although if the os you have isnt already win 7 id seriously consider the extra for it would be a shame to waste a system like above with anything less than win 7

My mate can sort me out with Windows 7 Ultimate so i'm okay for that. Really my overall budget is £1200 but that is to include gamind headset, mouse and keyboard which ive already picked out. The setup right there looks awesome, all i gotta do is whack in a DVD drive

It's all good to know but I think 6GB RAM will be sufficient for the time being xD
I guess in the future it makes it easy to upgrade.

Yep, 6GB should hold you out for a few more years. I'm sticking with 4GB, by the time I need more, I'll probably just make a whole new build, because I'll be working by then :D
