I've been using outlook for a while and they suddenly took it out. What would be a good thing to use or is there anything?

Windows Live Mail or you can install microsoft office and use microsoft outlook.

When we upgraded to Windows 7, we had the same dilemma. We downloaded the Windows Live mail and we couldn't be happier with it. It is faster and you can link your other mail accounts to it. Definitely worth the try since it is free.

Windows Mail is probably the closest thing to Outlook and it is free. I am using it and so far I am happy with it.

Outlook express and Microsoft Mail (it has been mail since Vista actually) are kind of crappy apps in my opinion. There are some nice free open source ones (like Thunderbird) which are better.

Windows Mail is the new version of Outlook express that was introduced when Vista was released. It's automatically installed on Vista. It's okay for basic or home use but Outlook is the one to use for Business or Commercial use.

It was "Mail" in Vista, yes, but it's "Windows Live Mail" now.

Again:
Windows Live Mail includes the familiar features of Windows Mail, the mail program in
Windows Vista, plus new features such as the ability to automatically configure itself to work
with some of the most popular e‑mail services, including Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo!, AOL, and Gmail

Live Mail is by far the best that's come from Microsoft yet.
