Overclocking with AMD's

You would be surprised what asrock have been up to lately :) GA-MA790X-UD3P:(AM2)DDR2, 2PCIe, sATA2, 7.1, GLan, Fw

Is that board much more expensive on that site? That is actually the best board available for amd fsb overclocking right now, very hard to find them.

@ strangle hold, I brought up the gd70 because you seem to of been conned into this more phase = more power marketing scheme, I was merely bringing you're attention to the fact that the gd70 which is the best performing amd mobo atm ( ignoring the immature xta models ) doesn't have the amount of phase's that you desire.

I think you missed your own point. The GD70 is a 10 phase setup. Plus more phase doesnt mean more power. It means more stable power.

Edit, you are right the GD70 is a 5 phase. I dont keep up with MSI boards. Their kinda 50/50 with me. I've had to RMA more of them that actually worked

Yet it has an evident droop problem oh wait it's 4+1 phase

LOL I think the sad faces are apropriate :( Out of that lot I would take the 785 gt.

No the GA-MA785GT-UD3HAM3)DDR2,VGA,3PCIe,sATA2,GLan,Fw

Strange there is no decent ddr3 boards in the lineup.

They more expensive and it means i cant use the spare ddr2 i got. Lol and that GA-MA785GT-UD3H would be one of the ones out of stock.

Not in budget :( You thought about selling the ddr2 and moving to ddr3? ddr2 is fetching ridiculous prices atm. I sold all mine off already lol.

They dont have it, but i just noticed they have this one: GA-MA790X-UD3P:(AM2)DDR2,2PCIe,sATA2,7.1,GLan,Fw. Just in budget.

GA-MA790X-UD3P, its a decent board. I like the UD4P better, but the UD3P is ok. Better then the others in your post.

yeah, lol. Its just a long list, they havent taken much time categorizing everything and load of stuff in the wrong place. That board is 80 euros / 113 dollars, just in budget.

Thanx very much 4 the help guys :good:. O i thought you could treat an unlocked cpu, like a locked, if you didnt change the multiplier.
