Corsair CMPSU-400CXEU 400W 12CM ATX12V2.2 80+
is this enough for my system and will it fit??
Gigabyte Socket AM3 GA-MA78LMT-S2
Club 3D RADEON HD 5750 1GB
AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz, 2MB, 95W, AM3 box
Crucial DDR3 PC-10600 1333MHz 2GB CL9 OEM
the 5750 calls for a 450 watt or greater power supply. it might not actually need all of that but it really wouldn't be a good idea to try and test that. i'd maybe get a 500W psu (or a 600W if you plan on crossfiring or upgrading in the near future).
do you have link for the one you are looking at to make sure i am looking at the same one?
The original Corsair 400W is plenty with 30A on the 12V rail. Nothing more needed if you don't plan to upgrade.
The 5750 is a low powered card. The rest of the system isn't high power either. So, to answer your question, yes, my system uses 250W on the 12V rail max. That is 20A, you will have 30A available on a very high quality unit. Just don't overclock and be sure you wont want to upgrade, otherwise the 600W Corsair is next best.

yeah, corsair does rule. You're welcome, and welcome to Computer forum!
btw
joh06937, its not wise to talk in watts. AMD specify that this PSU is rated as certified (http://www.enermaxusa.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=81) however it too has 400W, below what they claim is the minimum (http://support.amd.com/us/certified/power-supplies/Pages/listing.aspx). However it is poorer quality than the Corsair.
Just a word of advice, amperage, active PFC, efficiency, fan size, warranty and MTFB above 25oc makes a good PSU. Forget wattage.
Or simply, Corsair rule.

Thats fine, although im not a big fan of Coolermaster PSUs. Look at the one strangle suggested instead.
What resolution to you play at? What is your full system specs. If you are not intending to upgrade, then the 5770 might be all you need, in which case 30A (ie the 400W Corsair) would be plenty. Otherwise, the Coolermaster will do the job.
