Good upgrade from what i have?

Wondering what would be a good upgrade that will allow my computer to handle the newer games that are coming out, and i am also wondering if i have to upgrade my Psu also, I remember being told that i probably don't have to ugprade my cpu but not sure if thats true.

Were you able to ACC unlock the other two cores on that CPU? That PSU is good for pretty much any single card setup.

What kind of budget are you looking at? GPU would probably the biggest upgrade off hand, depending on your spending it might be easier to suggest certain upgrades over others.

I am unsure on what an ACC is, but im sure i havent.

your cpu can be unlocked to a 6 core cpu, but even as a quad core, the cpu should be fine. if you upgrade to say a gtx 760, which is a very capable, then id say that your seasonic (good brand), will be enough to power your system

Are there any good guides you reccomend for unlocking to 6 core ( should i even do this?) and is my motherboard compatible with a gtx 760?

yes, everything you have is compatible with a gtx 760. if you go into the bios, there should be a setting somewhere for "acc" turn it on or enable it and then save settings and reboot. make sure all the voltage settings and whatnot for the cpu are set to auto though and it should unlock the extra 2 cores

after looking at your bios...I found this...go to advanced bios features...go to cpu unlock, and change the setting to enabled.

Wondering, my computer will over heat when doing anything intensive ( i put a huge floor fan by it as a temp fix), this is due to the gpu's fan that dosen't work any more. So would it be not recommended to unlock my cpu?

as long as your cpu cooler is working and your cpu is not overheating now it should be fine. if having the floor fan by your pc keeps the temps down from the gpu, then id say your fine as well. but you should really do something about the gpu fan not working.
