Hello guys, I have a gaming pc and am looking to upgrade it.

My current stats are

  • 3.5GHz AMD FX-6300 6-Core CPU
  • MSI 970A-G46 Motherboard
  • AMD Radeon R7 370 2GB Graphics Card
  • 1TB (1000GB) Sata III Hard Drive
  • [AMD] 8GB Patriot 1600MHz DDR3

Now I am looking to upgrade this and I would like to know by swapping out my current parts for these

http://pcpartpicker....n970g1gaming4gd--- Gtx 970 windforce

http://pcpartpicker....u-fd9590fhhkwof----- fx -9590

If I was to swap out my current cpu and gpu for them 2 parts would everything still be compatable in my system

Questions

Everything still compatable?

Would anything bottleneck

Would It be worth it?

Much of a performance boost?

Is the motherboard okay for this setup and does it affect performace.

Thank you can you please reply asap.

Unfortunately, that motherboard doesn't support the fx9590. fx8370 is as high as it goes. The video card would be an improvement though.

If I got a new motherboard would everything be compatable and would It be a big influence on cpu dependent games like minecraft etc using the 9590

If I were you, I would go Intel socket 1150 or 1151. AM3+ is basically dead. Better performance with Intel. Not many motherboards still available that will take the 9590.

If I were to buy a intel socket 1151, Could I use any of my already existing products with the addition of the gtx 970?

You would have to switch to ddr4 memory, but everything else would be fine. You would new motherboard, cpu and ram. You go with socket 1150 and just need new motherboard and cpu, existing ram would work.

Sounds like it would cost a billion xD, Hold on for 2 minutes. Can you tell me if this system or my current system would give me better performance
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB Graphics Card
MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Motherboard
4.5GHz Intel Core i5 6600K Quad Core CPU *Overclocked*
Cooler Master Hyper 412S Cooler

Personally you could just upgrade the gpu until you have money for a platform upgrade. A 970 would give you a decent upgrade over the 370 even with your current components.

What PSU do you have anyway?

I have a 500w, I play alot of mc which is cpu dependent and arma 3 so i kind of need a new platform upgrade tbh

Yes but I recommend AMD Radeon instead, like R9 390. GTX970 is falsely advertised as 4 GB card http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/NVIDIA-Responds-GTX-970-35GB-Memory-Issue

And it's not future proof either http://www.dsogaming.com/news/oxide...to-disable-certain-settings-in-the-benchmark/
I'm not sure why you have this hatred for nVidia, the GTX 970 is a solid card and benchmarks show real world performance, even if it's a true 3.5GB card. If someone was to spend more for the 390X, they might as well get the 980 which is much better than both. The 970 is a much less power hungry card as well.

970 vs 390X: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1595?vs=1559

GTX 970 - $299
390X - $409

The slight difference is not worth the much higher price tag of the 390X. If you go that route, just get the far superior GTX 980.

My upgrades will be 15-4440
ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97
1TB (1000GB) Sata III Hard Drive
nvidia gtx 970
and some new 2x8gb
Cooler Master Hyper 412S Cooler

worth?? final decision if not im throwing out the window

It's not hatred. I just don't like Nvidias false advertising. Let me show you: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-970/specifications

That's false information, after almost full year after information about 3,5+0,5GB memory configuration was revealed.

Also, given that Nvidia's promises about future proof are also false, so anyone who buys GTX970 is supporting company that sells products with false information. GPU power consumption has never been issue in the past so it's not today either.

Your current CPU is fine for games, couple of expections that are unplayable anyway. In case you really need new CPU, LGA1150 is already obsolate and replaced with LGA1151. Also, many points about GTX970 above.
