Keep Me Sane!!!

Sorry for the title, but I need help!

So my pc (the blue list in sig) has been acting up recently. I have never had a valid copy of windows on it (it's been nearly 8 months now) and about 2 months ago microsoft finally realized it wasn't legit. Anywho...

3 Major problems:

1) My mouse, when moving will 'stick'. I can physically move the mouse and it will not move on the screen. The light on the bottom (I believe it is a laser? correct me if I'm wrong) stays in the 'active' brightness. Then once the mouse on the screen does move after about 2 seconds it is in a random place. If I am playing CS:S I won't be able to aim for like 2 seconds then I'll be looking at the ground with a grenade out all of the sudden. It doesn't even show the arms pulling out a grenade sometimes it just skips that "animation". All of this is random, it happens moving any direction, any time, with any amount of programs running.

2) My internet. I don't have 'legit' access to the internet, but I have been 'borrowing' internet from my neighbor since the computer has been built, using a wireless router. He doesn't care, said it was fine. There are maybe 3-4 networks I can connect to in my area with this router. I was steadily connected on my neighbor's for about 3 months. It rarely disconnected, always connected right when pc started up, and most of all, was fast. Until recently I cannot connect to any of the networks. My monitor for the router says I am connected but I can't get any webpage to load and none of my online games will connect either. So it isn't connected. If I constantly try to connect to the internet I will be connected 1 out of every 5 minutes at best. (incase you are wondering I am using the family pc to write this) And yes I have moved the router all over it's rage of movement. I have probably spent 3 hours of just straight trying to find a good internet connection in the last 2 days.

3) Pc performance. About half the time I am doing stuff on my desktop there will be a wait for something (opening a folder, etc.) that is abnormally long. And during any video game my fps has taken a major drop and I lag like crazy, even on single player, but especially on multiplayer should I get my internet working for a whole 5 minutes (see #2).

All of these problems came about once I tried to install BF:2 deluxe edition (It has BF:2 and SF on the same CD. It installed smoothly, no errors, I thought I would be playin it in a matter of seconds after I finished the install (restarting my pc). Well it never fails, I clicked on the icon to play BF:2 and it came up with the pic of a tank in the back and it says "battlefield 2" in big important letters then once that goes away full screen is supposed to kick in and the game starts. Full screen doesn't come. The picture just goes away and nothing happens. Like it closed. I get no error messages or anything. This happened on my friend's pc. I stole his copy of the game and installed it on my pc a loonngg time ago (probably a month after my build) and it worked for a while. Then it started doing the same thing to me, so I uninstalled it and gave it back. I have had a whole thread about getting BF:2 to work but these problems are a bit more serious.

Windows won't let me get certain drivers because it is not 'genuine'. So this Thursday (21st) I will be cashing my check and buying a legit copy and wiping my HDD and starting over with windows.

In an attempt to get BF:2 working before those 3 problems started occuring I installed a set of drivers from Nvidia and attempted like 3 other ones that each said "No hardware found that is compatable with this software" or something to that effect. The drivers didn't match my hardware, but the names matched.

So I guess I need to uninstall drivers?? I don't know, it sounds like my pc is done being useful for a few days but here's the catch: THAT IS MY ONLY ENTERTAINMENT! I am suspended for the rest of this week (left an airsoft gun in my truck at school and they suspended me 10 days) and it is raining outside (washington for ya) and I don't have any console games I haven't beaten... twice. T.V. is just crap during the day so yeah.... Any help would be appreciated. Sorry this is so long lol.

I am not able to answer your questions, so I'll let someone else do it, but as for the internet problem, I do wonder, why dont you use your internet? You obviousely have 2 computers in your house at least, and yours looks fairly recent, why dont you use your own internet, and you'll always have a nice connection?

Here's what you do.

1) Sit there and wait untill you have enough money for Windows

2)Go buy windows.

3)Install windows

4) Enjoy

Untill then wait, or maybe I'll tell you a better way you can have windows reinstalled and working legaly in the same day, but maybe I'll tell you that in 3 or so days since you had a illegal version of windows for 8 months.

Ya some of the BF2 patches will funk up your computer. Anyways, back up all your info, reformat your hard drive AND BUY YOURSELF A LEGIT COPY OF WINDOWS. Seriously we do not support crap like pirated software, that can cause a lot of problems for you as well. You can buy an OEM copy xp home for $90 on newegg, and as long as your buy it with hardware the OEM is legitimate, to be sure one this newegg normally gives you a cable for free with it or something. But honestly use legit windows.

He said he was going to go buy a legit copy with his next paycheck.....don't you guys read?
For me at least, I told him to wait, and for "SirKenin"s post, the guy is still a crook weather or not hes buying a new one now. If you steal a TV, then it breaks, then you pay for the new one you still stole the first one.

its more like buying a tv, it breaks, and then you pay for the broken one. its like an extended trial. microsoft is not losing any profits by him using the software illegally if he does buy it later.

I would hardly compare a copy of windows to a TV....one is actual physical property, one is a license to a piece of software. they are so different there is a different set of laws to govern them.

thats a bad analogy. the court of law wouldnt acccept a case of using windows illegally. the court fees would dwarf the value of a liscence.

Blah. It doesn't matter. He's stolen his internet. He's stolen his Windows. Then he has the nerve to brag about it and ask for help. HAH!

If it was legal to not have to pay for Windows, wouldnt be all do it? He's a theif, its like pirated programs, music, and even satelite.

Even if they said to use it, he should first buy his own, and second, dont complain when he cant get his neighbours internet.

the laws are made to regulate something but there are always certain circumstances that the law shouldn't apply. this is borderline, but Windows wont be damaged at all once he pays for the software so its not worth making a fuss over.
