As you can see from some of the screenshots, this program takes up alot of memory. And for a computer to be excellent, it has to have very high end components, as you can see that my system only got a 4.

Well I really like the blurry translucency on the windows, but I despise the minimize/maximize/close buttons.

The start menu is also nice.

If it ever is cheap, I might buy it.
 
They have different themes you can choose, im not sure if you can change the buttons but i imagine you could.

You mean an XP theme to put on Vista? Because a Vista theme for XP is already out.

i think that's one of the reasons they're delaying vista for, as the suitable hardware for Vista is expected to have low prices by the start of 2007
am i right ?
 
I won't be upgrading immediately, but I may in the future. But I need to upgrade my RAM and other things before I get Vista anyway. For now I'm good with the VIsta Transformation Pack 4.

Sounds logical. I have Vista now and it looks awesome. Sometimes it gets twitchy cause it is very CPU intensive. I think having atleast a dual core CPU would help alot in my case.
 
I doubt I'll be getting it, Not for the price and I don't see much benefit besides the new look, but it I wanted that I could just get a theme for that...
 
I'll get Vista. I'm rebuilding my computer (CPU, MB, RAM) over the next 2 and a half months. Then, with my tax return money (finally a reason to do it ASAP this year) I will buy a DX10 graphics card and Vista, in preperation for Crysis in April. The wild card in all of this is my girlfriend is offered a free copy through her college...so I'm thinking that I need to get her to either get me one, or get one of her friends who doesn't care to get me thier copy. So....we'll see what happens.
 
i dont have a reason to get it. XP is good for me! thats it really and i dont want to have to spend the money aswell. its money that could be spent in a better way.
