Do 8800GTS use 2 6 pin power connectors?

I herd somewhere that the 8800GTS use 2 PCI-E 6 pin power connectors, instead of the usual 1 x 6 Pin power connectors. You know, the ones where its PSU strait to the card itself. Those connectors.

May I ask a serious question?
Why are you buying a 8800 series card anyways?
Take a look at this (Frames: http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html?modelx=33&model1=606&model2=547&chart=196 As you can see, an x1900XTX gets 4.4 more fps than the 8800GTX, and the ATi is nearly $200 less.)

Heh that chart sucks because the 8 series cards are CPU bound. Thats also at very low res. Go higher res and the 8 series whips it. Add in a C2D cpu and whips it much worse. There's even a separate THG article about the fact that 8 series cards need high end cpu's....:P

hmmm.. well, it you run a 8800GTX so, that it gets outperformed by a x1900xtx, you have no idea what you're doing and you didnt deserve on having that card in the first place ^^ (besides.. if you pay $600 for a card, would you run games on such a low resolution? :)
in a good system. (as in E6600, with 2Gb RAM etc) the GTX outperformed a x1900xtx Crossfire setup. (te crossfire pc had a e6600 and 2gb RAM too)

Also, the 8800GTX is DX10, which is a no brainer for the future.

Good point, but do realise that when DX10 becomes mainstream, there will most probably be newer graphics cards out.

However, I don't know when exactly DX10 will start to be utilized, so I can't say that's 100% true... :P

You are very funny !!!

I don't think anyone will play a game at 1024x768 (with no AA) with 8800GTX

On 1600x1200 (with 4x AA), the 8800GTX gets 50 more fps than X1950xtx, and 8800GTS gets 23 more fps than X1950xtx. So there is no comparison, Both 8800GTX and GTS beat X1950xtx by far

Why should someone get X1950XTX, if 8800GTS cost the same ??

Speaking Of 8800GTS Power,

Where do I find a power supply with 26A? I have searched everywhere and not a trace. I have a 500 watt that is running 16A on rail 1 and 18A on rail 2. Even the $150 Antec wasn't running 26A to support the 8800GTS I want. Somebody Help PLZ.

Thanx
