This case makes my room a #@$# Valcano, whats a good case?

This Antec P180 is so loud, makes the room so hot and boiling!

i dont care how much the case cost, which case do you guys think is best to at least not dish out so much heat and noise.

If you don't llike one case look at a lengthy list of others. Even a different Antec model may be of interest. One place to browse deals with various types as well as styles of micro to full tower atx and server cases alike. Have a look at a long list seen at http://www.xoxide.com/pccases.html

If your worried about both noise and the heat your system puts out into your room and are not concerned with the cost of the solution, look into water cooling.

An Antec P180 loud? What do you have, all the fans set to max? Of course it will be loud...

Get a better CPU heatsink with a low rpm 120mm fan. Get a better GPU heatsink with a large fan, possibly 92mm. Set all the fans in the case to medium or low. My P180B is very, VERY quiet with a 120mm cpu fan and a passive GPU fan. I can barely hear it with small amounts of background noise.

I'm wondering about how exactly it is that your computer noticably heats up your room. The heat has to go somewhere, but I don't think it's enough to heat up a room. I have my computer in a pretty small room, and even during a couple of hours of tough gaming when it's putting out the most heat, I can't see any noticable difference. As far as the noise, it may just be one bad fan. Some fans can start to make strange noises as they get older, I had to replace one in my case so it would stop making a grinding sound.

how would the case generate heat? ... enlighten me :)

i have a hunch it might be your hardware outputting hundreds of watts of thermal energy.

watercool everything :):):)

And how would that help? The heat still has to go somewhere. It's just coming out of the water cooling radiator instead.

I have that case with 4 fans on high speed and it is not loud or 'hot' , unless his room is a closet, he has to be full of sh*t.

lol. Yea, I was wondering how the case was heating things up too :P
If you don't want to get a new case you could try to "sound proof" or "dampen" the case? Also, if your computer is heating up your room, I can't even begin to imagine what it is doing to your computer parts!!! Look into a better heat sink? Check fans?

By the description it sounds like you could save on your heating bill somewhat? You're going to have to be a little more specific on this like are you seeing high temps? What type of "noise" are you hearing?

OK guys, no need for these attacks. It's a perfectly valid question.

Hanzu,
  1. Have you confirmed that it's the case fans causing your problems? I would imagine the fans on those GPUs, and possibly the PSU would be drowning them out.
  2. Are the fans thermally controlled? You may want to turn them down if possible
  3. Is there any one fan in particular causing problems? It could be a single faulty bearing or loose fan causing your problems.
  4. Are your temperatures OK?
  5. It would generally be a cheaper and more effective solution to replace the fans in the case rather than the case itself. The P180 is actually known to be quite good from a noise point of view.
Having said all that, you have a very powerful system there. The converse of that is that it also draws a lot of power, even when idling, which eventually ends up as heat that must be blown out of the case. High efficiency power supplies can help, as can implementing power saving features, but at the end of the day there's still a considerable amount of thermal energy to be removed.

I got slammed with heat on the last case when installing the board now being used here. The trick was to lower board+cpu temps alike by increasing the air flow. The board saw 48C idle since the case had two 80mm fans; one for the rear exhaust, one at the top, and nothing in the front or side.

Here I had to go with a new case while you try ceewi1's advice on replacing a noise maker and even add a larger or extra fan. You may want to blow out the case if you are seeing a dust build and especially the cpu fan is getting clogged up. With the large copper fins on the Zalman here those have to blown out as well.

I had to remove the fan that goes behind the power supply, because the power supply i got , is too long so i had to remove, and all fans r turned to high yes, I will turn them low ( but room does get hot when the computer is on ) thats is why i said it dishes out heat or something, fyi for people who did say im full of $hit, thats my first time building a computer.

im not using the fan that came with my processor , im using this one here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835702002

and thats the power supply me that causeed me to remove the bottom fan behind the power supply slot.

as far as temprture, i OC'ed my processor to 3.5 and it is stable, the temp runs at 40c/104f.

Wow... you spent some big money. Just your power supply and CPU fan alone were over $700... my entire new system isn't even gonna cost that much.

Looks like an incredible system though, and I can see why it would put out a lot of heat.

If the temperatures of your hardware are running OK, I can't see much that can be done about anything except for replacing whatever fan is making noise.

There is one solution.

Open the window.

But then it will get too cold... and he will have to run his computer/heater more to keep the temperature comfortable! :D

In all seriousness, though, try that. Heat dosen't stop until it leaves the room, so give it somewhere to go. If you keep the door to that room closed, open it and see if it helps.

I have a p180 and it's anything but loud.

I can hear the cpu fan over the case itself, it's so quiet.

It's your component fans creating the noise. That's about as quiet as a case gets.
