I voted no because of the price. I think a phone like that should cost $375 tops for the 8 GB version. Plus it's new technology so it's going to break. Hopefully the when the 2nd generation comes out it'll be cheaper than $500 and $600 .

No because I have no use for a phone like that. I'm old school, to me a phone is to make and receive calls anything other than that is just a waste of money in my opinion.

won't buy it for many reasons including :

the size
the price
hehe, it wont reach my country for another year
i like my current phone...lol

no, i would never spend that much for a phone...
it dont have a optional keypad
price
no sims card
cant remove battery if you need a new one
too fancy and would be afraid i would break it!

Well as of yet I'm the only one who said yes. However I would only buy it under certain circumstances. My contract is about to expire and I'm going to buy a new phone anyway, and my iPod isn't in the best of shape and I need a new iPod. My current cell phone seen below:

Is a beast, I've dropped it hundreds of times, and it has fallen in a toilet 3 times (once there was urine in the toilet, not mine...). So I need a new phone soon. If my iPod was broken right now or not working right I would seriously consider getting an iPhone. If I'm spending $250 on a new ipod, and probably the same amount on a new phone (assuming I don't get a discount) then why not get the iPhone? Now... give it a year or 2, prices will drop and the iPhone will be in its 2nd gen and be better. Why not get it?\

Edit: sorry for the huge picture of my phone, didn't feel like resizing it and uploading it to some image host)

I would but i ain't got the money and I would never take it out the house even if i did cuz it would get stolen.

I said yes, but that is only if I had $600 to spare. My iPod is actually quite new and in good condition, but I love the new technology and I see no reason not to get it.

My current iPod is 8GB, so I don't need more than that. And I enjoy having a phone that can do a lot, I have a Treo now and I had many PDA phones before that. I think the iPhone would be cool to have.

i said i wouldnt because i think in a years time jobbs will be back out on the stage showing us the new iphone2 which will be smaller and make up for any flaws the first iphone had.. like the retarded 2mp camera..and no photo sms'ing...and all the other cons about it

Well that's why I wouldnt buy a first gen iPhone, I'd wait a few years and see what happens. I can't see myself purchasing any expensive first gen product, it'll only get better. If it's cheap then maybe Id buy first gen, but why would it be cheap?

I would if I had the money...And not if I just had $600, more like if I had several thousand, So I could get multiple things I wanted, I wouldn't waste all my money on the iPhone.

Otherwise I would just save.

I voted yes, btw.

once i get my macbook + ipod 80gb then i would consider it so they all can live together happily ever after :)

It wouldn't be, if it was from Apple :P

EDIT:

I've heard rumors about 130GB iPods ;)

i'm getting it in a combo so -$300 and 80gb i'll probably never fill it all up anyways.

Unless you put movies on there. Thats the only way I could fill mine up. I only have some 30 to 40 odd gigs of music in iTunes.

I have 100+ GB of music on my PC, my Zen has about half of that on it including too much pron and videos of me playing games, and the mighty Boosh of course :)

I Voted No because the Zen imo is much better than the ipod, i got the 2nd generation big 20GB iPod and loved the damn thing, until i had to get it replaced 3 times for vatious errors, it self deleted all my music at one point and messed me about in other ways, i just think this will be the same, i love my Zen, its the best thing i think at the moment, and im happy with my Sony Ericsson K800i :P
