Build me a computer for $.

Hey guys,

My name is Ben and I need a new PC for gaming. I totally suck at the whole building the PC thing and also, not 18 yet so I don't have a credit card, but I do have a paypal account.

I want a PC dedicated for gaming and I play mostly stragtey games like total war, etc.

So can one of you guys buy all the parts and put it together for me then ship it to me? I can pay you 75% upfront with Paypal then the rest once I get the PC.

Of course, I will pay for your effort. So I guess members with a high reputation would be the ideal choice....

i know that i havent been on here that long, but i would absolutely love to do this, i love doing stuff like this for people, i have done it for 3 friends in the last year or so, i would do it for 10 percent plus the old tower, but you would have to cover the paypal fee and the shipping costs

I am going to try and find out the specs on the old tower that i have so maybe it will be more worth it to upgrade that instead of build everything from scratch

i been playing heavily on my laptop and i think i m slowly killin it....

and besides games and watching dvds, i dont planning on using the PC for anything else.

imho, i would upgrade, its not a terribly outdated system like mine is, but if you want to start gaming more i would think that you would need more ram than that and i would go with a duo core, ddr2 ram and a more updated mobo, also prebuilt computers are harder and more expensive to upgrade

And especially for total war. All you need is a bit more ram and maybe an upgraded gpu and your set man. You shouldnt pay more than 150

I haven't touched this computer in like a long time, so what kind of CPU/RAM would I need to upgrade to? And what about video card?

Oh I also need new CD drives since both of them work less than half of the time, also a new case would be good too. S

So who want to help me upgrade this thing? I can mail you the tower +wires. And if someone agrees to do this, please check the computer over for other hardware problems, it was abused by everyone in the family.
