what is your budget?

also many people are saying to wait until January 20th (i belive this is the date) until intel's new 45nm processors come out onto the market. This will mean better chips available in your price range, or a drop in the chip you want (or so i would think). Just look around the boards for more info on the new processors

also ur psu may be a bit of overkill, seeing how you will only run 1 8600gts

Yeah give a budget allowance, if you can afford it, two GPUs is a good idea.
CPU: Good, like therexxx said if youre going to buy that you might as well get more of a beast video card
PSU : I wouldn't want to see anyone buy a Rosewell PSU, go with better brands like Antec, OCZ, or PCP&Cooling.
Case: I like the Antec 900
MB: Good board but you can't run two video cards with it (non-nVidia chipset)
RAM: I don't know which you have selected, it is a page full or different types.
GPU: Not a bad videocard, I'd go with a 512mb if you can afford it [I do like the 8800GT 512 DDR3 that Maroon1 suggested]
HDD: Once again, it is a page full of hard drives

Mouse: the Logitech G5 is good (wired though), and i dont know what you have picked out

for the video card it takes
Interface PCI Express 2.0

my mother board is saying
Expansion Slots
PCI Express x16 1 x PCI-E X16, 1 x PCI-E X16 (x4 bandwidth)
PCI Express x1 1
PCI Slots 3

as for the ram, i was planning on getting

would you still suggest getting your one?

PCI Express 2.0 is backward compatible with PCI Express x16

So, it will work without any problem

ok thanks guys,

btw, what do you think is wrong with the roswell power supply? the reason i picked it was b/c it came with my mother board

ah i see you get a combo deal with it, nothing wrong with it, but i just figured it was a little too much power for your setup so you could save some $$ by getting something cheaper, but it seems you already save because of that combo deal, im not the best at psu's, but maybe someone can recommend something that would suit you better.

as for the gfx card, i think one gfx card would be better than two mid range ones in sli
look at the 8800gt 512mb that someone posted above, or if you want to save money look into the radeon 3850 256mb(170$) or 512mb (200$) or the radeon 3870
(215$ at best buy)
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8636666&st=radeon+3850&type=product&id=1194053242087

or 250$ on newegg
