Would like suggestions for improvements.
 
yea get a better vid card mabey a a x1800 it is not to dear it has about 50% preformence increase just that card is not to good but if your not a big gamer just stay with that 1
 
Man, you get some nice parts and then you waste it all on an AMD that gets absolutely slaughtered by an Intel for a cheaper price at the same performance. Why? Stay away from AMD if you're looking to build a performance rig. Not worth it at all.

I would ditch the Samsung monitor as well. The LG L226WTQ is a far superior monitor for the same money.

Yes, SirKenin is correct...AMD = Ripoff right now.
 
If your going to spend above 1k for a computer, don't cheap out and buy an AMD. The lntel's outperforms any AMD processor on the market :rolleyes:
 
should i be like the sixth guy to say dont buy amd hahaha

i have a single core amd right now that is great, but even i wont be building an amd, i refuse to waste my cash
 
we're not amd haters, we only realized that an e2200 2.2GHZ can overclock to way past even a 6400 at fifty bucks cheaper
 
well then could you find me and equivelent Intel processor for the same price and performance. And also a processor to match. And why is AMD so much WORSE than Intel? At least three reasons would be nice
 
Right now Intel is faster clock for clock and Overclocks better. If your building a new system build a Intel and thats even coming from me. Bite the Bullet and get a E8400 and a good P35 or X38 motherboard

i can give u 1 they sell there products of so much cheaper than intel they dont get much profet to put into reshearch so they wait for intel an get 1 of there better dezines an change it a little an sell it off

one reason that you should be concerned with: ARCHITECTURE

the intel chips are built on a better architecture, the processors use each cycle much better per MHZ

and since the intels can clock higher in respect to amd, the choice is obvious

First, the Caviar RE is 1000 times better than the Caviar SE.

Second, MSI boards are garbage.

Third, avoid AMD period if you're looking at a performance rig. Look at the E8400
 
please... there just chipsets, my grandma has a laptop with amd 64 in it and it outpreforms my desktop at home
edit: the desktop has intel inside
 
I did find a good use for the AMD. I've picked up refurbished computers on occasion with AMD X2s in them. I sold them for $300 a piece, with a 250GB harddrive, DVD burner and 2 GB of RAM. At that price point they're fine for the average Joe who mostly surfs the internet and checks email. If I was building a $1000 machine, I would NEVER put an AMD in it.
