C++ question

Recently I bought a C++ learning book. I have started the lessons, but it doesn't seem like practical stuff. All's i do are math equations. What are some practical uses that you have found using C++... ?

You can make programs, softwares and stuffs. If you don't want to sit in front of your PC for long hours and make programs, don't bother to read it.

I have been using Turbo C++ before. but didn't make any money with my programs. So i switched to web designs and earned a lot of money.

You can do pretty much any desktop program in C++. C++ is widely used for professional games, operating systems, and desktop applications.
