edit: it's spelled Hamachi i missed spelled it in the title.

i think a few members already know about this little thing. it's basically a program that host's virtual LAN games (specifically starcraft). (it fools your PC into thinking its on a LAN)

anyways we have a network that we would like to devote to CF members (and ex-CF members) if you want in PM me and i'll give you the network log in credentials (pending an approval from dirtyd ;))

download the software here

It is called a Virtual Private Network and Hamachi is the one people have mainly used because it is free and easy. Many games work with it fine, other games take some configuring, there are a few games that don't work at all. Hamachi isn't necessarily for gaming tho, I have used it to set up a VPN so I could remote into my PC from my laptop from anywhere.

Sweet, I have had Himachi so I could do some games, so what games are people offering to play?

Also what would the latency be like for a Aussie Vs American or something?
American internet is faster so if anyone wants a game of Rainbow Six Vegas 2, COD1 or Crysis/Wars I will be happy too:D

Latency would probably be just as bad if not worse as it tunnels through hamachi servers and ultimately it still has to get from Australia to America.

I have a home LAN server, so if say 3 of my mates wanted to play cod4 with me from their houses ( same town) and they each connected to my hamachi network can they connect to my LAN server. Is that right?
