Whats happening is the video card is not turning on. The fan on the card is not turning on. Its almost as if theres a switch somewhere thats not telling the card to turn on. Ive tried it in both pci-e 2.0 slots, and ive tried reconecting the power cords to it. The only things I havent tried are putting a different video card in my comp to see if that works and I havent tried puttin my video card in someone elses computer. Im afraid that if something is shortin out in my computer that when puttin someones video card in my comp its gonna fry that card. I also am afraid to try it in someone elses comp cause i dont want the card to be shortin sombodies computer out.

My specs are
xfx 750i mobo
e7400 cpu
gtx 260 video card
4 gigs of corsair 1066 mhz

your video card is doa. Can you try to RMA it back to the manufacture?

What kind of power supply are you running? Sounds like it could be psu, mobo, or gpu. Id start with trying in another computer.

Here are few questions for ya so we can start narrowing down the issue

1. Has the card ever worked? Or is this a brand new card you just tried?

2. What power supply do you have?

3. Are you sure the cables are correct? The reason I say this is from experience. One time I put my cables on the power supply and then the card...hit the button and nothing happened. After about 4 hours of trouble shooting I realized one of my PCI-E 6 pin cables was backwards. Both ends will fit in the power supply and the graphics card but they are made to attach a specific way. I changed them and it fired right up.

4. Do you have 2 x 6 pin power cables running directly from the power supply or are you using adapters? (4 pin to 6 pin style)

****Note****

If you just received the card it could be DOA:( When I upgraded to GTX 260 I ordered a BFG card...it was dead. I returned it and got another...it was also dead! I took a chance and assumed my hardware in the rest of the computer was good and ordered an eVGA card...the one I have now. Slapped it in and it has ran like a champ for 7 months now:D Dead cards do happen:(

my psu is a Fatal1ty 650w. I RMA'd the video card once already because my last one stoped working in the middle of playing a game it didnt overheat or anything it just cut off. I did not try the first one in a diff comp but i will try this one.

My first GtX 260 that i got stopped working when playing a game. It just died. So i got that one RMA. They sent me this new GTX 260 and it doesnt work. (is that more understandable) sorry didnt reread my first post and it is a little comfusing.

It could be you just got lucky and both cards went bad.

How long did you have the first card before it stopped working? A few days, a week, several months?

Sounds to me since the cards both died whilst gaming - perhaps they're getting power spikes, or not enough power...
My advice would be to try the card in someone else's rig (it'll either work or it won't, very rarely could it ever damage anything in the other person's rig - usually that only happens when people tweak things on the PCB's and break/mod something)... if the card hasn't been twittled with, it won't hurt anything.
IF it works in other person's rig, at least you'll know you need a new PSU, mobo, or both.
IF it doesn't work in other person's rig, RMA that sucker, get a REFUND this time, and get a different brand with a great warranty, eVGA and XFX are my faves, with eVGA being the top dog on NV cards.

its an EVGA card. but im getting the psu tested at the place i bought it tomorrow so ill find out if thats the case if not ill be RMA the mobo to see if thats the problem.
