Hey everyone, I'm looking for a build that is cheap, but very upgradeable. I have around $900, but the cheaper, the better. Let's see what you guys can do!!

Thanks! :D

I'm a noob still getting my bearings and was curious to see what I might come up with. If there are any flaws I hope someone more knowledgeable will mention them. Also, I don't know if you have access to a Microcenter, or if you'd mind a recertified PSU. This came in at $899, a dollar under budget. For your consideration...

i7 930 - Microcenter.com: $200
Gigabyte X58A -UD3 WITH Windows 7 - Newegg.com Combo: $289
Saphire Vapor X 5770 - Newegg.com $170
Rosewill Blackbone Case WITH Seagate 7200 rpm 500 Gb HD - Newegg.com Combo: $70
G Skill 4GB Ram - New Egg: $104
Sony Optiarc DVD Sata - Newegg.com: $26
Recertified OCZ 700w PSU - SVC.com: $40

Do you require peripherals such as keyboard/mice/monitor ?
Monitors usually run about $150-$200.
Maybe take a look at my build, it's around $970 (w/ a Samsung Synchmaster P2250 monitor, really great quality and low priced)
Pick what fits your needs, just something to consider.

I decided to buy a really cheap, basic logitech keyboard and mouse, and I have a 4 year old syncmaster that will do just fine for now.

$30 wireless keyboard and mouse set from target. 0 problems and does exactly what i need.
are you looking for any particular setup (i.e. ati or nvidia, amd or intel)?

Um, well, it depends on the build itself. I'm looking for on-board video, because I'm gonna wait like a month before I get a video card. Intel's i7 appeals to me more, but if I can't get on-board video or a really cheap card that will be sufficient then it's a no-go. I'll do a build and post it.
