Pretty basic sound card question here...

I have a X-Fi Fatality sound card. Everything sounds good. But could it sound better just by changing sound cards? If yes, anyone have a sound card to recommend?

Speakers are Logitech Z5500s.

Well that's a pretty high end audio card you got there and your not going to notice any difference between cards unless you have some very nice monitoring/speaker equipment.

I say stick with what you have.

Thanks! I thought maybe it was a wee bit outdated since I got it about 3 years ago already!

I remember reading that other companies are finally making the sound card market competitive and thought maybe I can get a better card!

The Asus Xonar DX2 is a fantastic card but the OP won't notice the difference between the two cards via a set of Logitech Z5500s.

The Z5500s produce some CLEAR audio man! Just some tweaking from stock settings and the audio is super clear and bright. I love these speakers. I love my audio setup! Just wanted to see if I could make it better.

I'm pretty psyched that my Fatality is still a badass sound card. That's everyone!
