[Help!] First time buying a desktop! £500 ($800)!

Howdy!

I've been using a Dell Vostro 1500 for several years now and it's finally coming to a dying end. I'm now looking for a desktop which will be used mainly for school work but I would also like to play games e.g. RuneScape/Call of Duty: Black Ops. My main priorities are reliability, speed and longevity - I will NOT be upgrading it at all. (If it is unrealistic to get a pre-made custom desktop/custom desktop and not upgrade the parts for however long it lasts, would I be better off getting something like a Dell Inspiron 560?

I'm currently looking at this or this but have been told that MESH are not ideal in terms of specs and customer service. My cousin recommended http://www.wired2fire.co.uk/ but the desktops there seem a bit out of my price range. I'd prefer NOT to custom build myself but if I have to, I guess I could use the stickied thread and ask my brother to help. If so, would it be possible to get a good desktop (including Windows 7, monitor, keyboard, mouse and other necessary hardware/software) for £500 ($780)?

Thanks in advance!

Conzy.

P.S. Please let me know if you require any additional information!

P.P.S. If it's unrealistic to try to run Black Ops well on the price range I'm putting forward, please tell me. I'm not too bothered about it; rather, it'd be an added benefit.
