Survival Games

Now when I say survival I don't mean horror games. What I do mean though is games that require you to think before you act to decide if you can do something. "Should I attack those guards with limited ammo supplies or should I sneak past" type of setup. I always loved this aspect to S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat as the ammo was so limited through most the game and some enemies so powerful that it made you think before you acted. There are some mods for Fallout 3/Vegas that does this but not many games share this feature.
Another game that I loved that was similar to this was Drakensang....on hardest difficulty you had to farm up and really think each attack out. For hardest fights I would make a literal minefield so defeat a much stronger foe but at the same time you had to really keep smart as items were not cheap or easy to find.

Question is does anyone know of games that adopt such a mind set? Doesn't have to be FPS...could be any type of game.

Survival Games ? What a load of rubbish, playing with a computer in an "Alice in Wonderland" deficient mentality is abominable. Like playing an Ostrich with it`s head in the sand. Computer games are the past-time of ignorant morons who absorb their cabbage brained minds in the fantasy of comic opera rather than face the more serious problems in life.

Computer games ? Forget this kind of crap and concentrate on more adult pursuits to invigorate the brain. Adult participation in stupid juvenile activities simply reduces our modern intellectual capability into a hotch-potch of mentally disturbed uncivilised mess.

I know with the Bioshock games you have to be a little more careful with ammo as it's not absolutely everywhere... and once you run into the Big Daddy/Big Sister thing you're going to be in for one hell of a tango.

Then there's Dead Space and Dead Space 2. I've heard that number 2 is really great, though I haven't played it; but if you beat the game one time on any setting you can unlock a Hardcore mode where you play through on the hardest setting, but with only three saves.

It's all I can think of at the moment, but I'll take a peek around my store for more ideas later today.
