Liquid Spills on a Computer

Ok, call this over-cautious, but what happens if I spill liquid on my Desktop PC not my laptop? I'm sure a lot of people have PC cases where extra fans are required, in which liquid could seep through. I have an extra fan on the top part of my case, which pretty much provides a gateway to the inside of my computer for all sinister liquids. (My PC is on the floor, if you're wondering)

Does anyone know what to do? It's not as easy as laptops I assume.
Thanks.

depend really if you splash a small amount of water it might be ok, but say half a glass would probably destroy your computer.

Also depends on where the water lands. If it somehow got inside your power supply then your power supply (if not the whole computer) will most likely short circuit and fry.

Same as with laptops (or any electronic device)-- immediately remove all power sources, disassemble to the most practical extent possible, flush any contamination out with distilled water, follow that with some isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), then allow to dry completely. Drying will take several days. Compressed air helps drive any fluid out, but you still want to give it plenty of time for any liquids to seep out of nooks and crannies and thoroughly evaporate before reapplying power.
