BFBC2 Punkbuster ISSUE!

Hey all

So I have BFBC2. I have Punkbuster. But whenever I try to join a game. It says i need Punkbuster running and installed.

I have checked task manager, PnkbstrA is running, i have it installed, both pbsetup and pbsvc complete without error. But i still get the same problem.

Any Ideas?

Still same problem, I have got rid of everything to do with Punkbuster on this Computer, and still it has the problem, I got it working a while ago, I just can't remember how.........

Try this-

Change the punkbuster setting in C:\Users\<userprofile>\Documents\BFBC2\GameSettings.ini from 0 to 1.

Save the changes,Try Battlefield again. :)

Have you checked to make sure you have both the PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB services running?

I've had a similar issue. In my case it was fixed by manually installing PB with the pbsvc_bc2.exe found in \Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield bad company 2\install\PunkBuster\. The PunkBuster services FAQ has a link to download pbsvc.exe, if you have the retail version.

That didn't seem to fix it either.

Anyways thanks for the input.

Only PnkbstrA is running, whenever i try pnkbstrB, it doesn't show up in task manager

The Latest, something like 2.3 or something. I always update it. Another thing aswell, when I reboot my PC or after a couple of hours or so, it says the version is -0.01 or something similar

After uninstalling PB, then rebooting, then manually reinstalling it, same problem. I wonder if it is a problem with BFBC2?
