Vague question for sure, but if you were to have no budget, what is the best MB for an Intel processor right at this moment?

Cheers Dave

In before PCunicorn goes off on one about how ASUS boards are rubbish! :p

But I would agree. I love my ASUS board and I've never had a problem with them either.

Oh no, I actually like Asus's higher end offerings like the P8Z77 V and P9X79, and support might be okay if you are just a little lucky, honestly I have never gone through asus support or RMAs so I can't tell you what it's like, but I have heard much worse things about it then Gigabyte just from 2 searches at OCN. I like the P8Z77 V because its better then the UD5H in terms of features, and the P9X79 I have heard some really great things about. Just don't get a saber tooth, those are serious ripoffs. Also, I don't think asus boards are rubbish at all, just the support is gennerally a fair bit worse then Gigabyte.

I have had mixed results with Asus boards. We sold them where I used to work as our high-end boards. For the most part they were fine but had issues with our Corsair RAM (at least when running at 1600MHz). In general, I would stick with Gigabyte. My current board has been rock-solid and my previous gigabyte board was very stable for a good 5 years (developed a NIC issue...suspecting a surge or even wiring issue in our house)

I am fairly problem free with my board, though 2 pin headers for fans are not controlling fans via voltage, going to have to RMA for that, but they told me to contact a local repair facility, and see if i can work something out.
