Anyway, to my question, these additional items you get for the digital deluxe edition, are they unlock-able with the standard game once you get further in?

I'm thinking of buying from cdkeys if I can unlock stuff further on in game

Hence why I'm looking at going the poor man's route with cdkeys.com lol

I'm happy with redeeming from elderscrollsonline and downloading the content from there, but if I can't access any deluxe items after playing for X hours such as imperial characters I may end up wishing I'd spent more in the first place

decisions decisions :D

I hate the collector's edition of this game. It gives you access to an entire race and it's perks and stuff. Unless they add that content for normal players, you can't unlock it. The mount and vanity pet as well can't be unlocked either. But, I don't care much about that.

I don't know, though. That race doesn't really give you any advantage over an other, besides you can choose any alliance. The only other thing you get is an experience boost thing.

I played during the beta and it didn't end being as much fun as I hoped. Passing for now, might come back to it later.

And then game developers wonder why people turn to piracy. Who, in their right mind, is going to pay 70 quid for a game? I think this takes the '2014 rip off of the year award'.

....No one pirates an MMO..... you clearly don't understand how they work or why the pay model is the way it is.

Private servers are alive and well for many MMO's, particularly WoW. Not sure if that counts as "piracy" but it's in the same vein.

But I get the feeling his comment was more general about games in general, not specifically ESO or MMO's.

If I actively play the MMO, I have no problem paying for it, as long as I use it. It's when you go 2 weeks without play it (like I just did with WoW) that it feels like a waste.

I have had the same problem. I played Final Fantasy XI for a bit. Would quit after a month or so because my play time was dropping down. When I pay that much I need to be using it to see any benefit.

I like Elder Scrolls titles but do not plan on paying to play monthly.

I played the beta and really wasnt impressed...its funny though, when skyrim came out i kept hearing "they should make an ES MMO" and now that they have its not very appealing to a lot of people.....I think they should have went the Sacred 2 route and done a coopish type game..you can still enjoy the single player but also get a group of your friends and have the difficulty vary to the amount of people and wreck house

I have to say, don't let the beta be the bulk of your impression. I played a few betas and wasn't into it at all. But, I think it's because it's a beta that it has that affect.

After play 15 hours this weekend, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
