Router light

Hi. I put this question on the Plusnet forum (our ISP) but got no replys so thought I would try here in case someone has an idea about this.
A few times the red internet light has come on on our router and only goes off after switching off then back on again. I thought that if red it was saying there was no internet connection but this is not the case. Both net and email (outlook) work fine and there is not even any speed drop.I have never actually been using the computer when this happens as it is usually over night, and when I say all works ok, I mean the next morning but the light is still red. Does this sound like a router problem or is it nothing to worry about ?

If you still have Internet then it sounds like a router issue. You might want to check to see if there is a firmware update for that model. If it was provided by your isp then contact them for support, maybe they will give you a different one.

Thought it might be the router, only 6 months old and was issued to us by ISP when we signed up with them, so will give them a call and see what they say.
