Okay, so what I am wanting to do is devote a copy of Windows 7 just for emulators. What I need to know is:
  • Anything I can take out of Windows 7 to make it run as fast as possible
  • How to makeit to where I can make an application automatically run in fullscreen mode at startup (Kinda like booting into that program)
  • After making it boot into that program, is there a way to still navigate Windows 7 to add new rom files.
Please let me know this information.

1) Check out Blackviper's webpage. http://www.blackviper.com/service-c...dows-7-service-pack-1-service-configurations/

2) This would have to be a parameter added to the emulator. You may have to check with the emulator dev on how to make games in that specific emulator full screen.

3) Don't understand how you're going to navigate with a full screen.

You will be booting windows and then starting any given program. What do you mean by writing to the ROM files?

And can you please share what are you trying to do in a bit more detail. Thank you.

Im no expert but I did do a few multi boots recently. If its on the same harddrive I dont know if it will make it run faster. My secondary linux slowed down at the same speed as my windows OS as I filled up the windows hard drive.

I know what your saying is possible and I would be interested in figuring out the answer. I have a computer I bought for specific automotive software and it only boots into the software from boot up. It comes up with a multi boot screen with the two programs and if you chose one it goes right into it no "desktop" screen is available. So it must be possible. Not sure how much expertise is required to make that work.

Sorry im not much help but if I find anything while i try to figrueout my own situation ill let you know.
