What kind of artifact is this?

I got this artifact in GTA V last night and today and actually managed to get a really good shot of it happening twice. Above my head is what looks like a bridge but is actually, I think, a mountain texture just stretching forever. In the background is a power... thingy that is doing the same thing. These will appear or reappear depending upon my angle to them.

Now I'm overclocking my GPU and running a few mods on here so it doesn't surprise me that it's a bit buggy. I'll be experimenting to see if I can pin it down but just from looking at it what would cause something like this? I removed my overclock just now and reset the resolution to force it to rerender and it's still there. I'm guessing just a funky mod. Card isn't breaking 65 Celsius.

*crickets*

Removing overclock got rid of it after reboot. Temps are fine. Need more voltage? Haven't touched that yet.

Have you ever been to LA? That's the famous LA skybridge. Weird that your stock settings remove that 8th wonder of the world.

My old 7900GT did that on its way out, it used to actually make a triangle that pointed to player models out of the gun as well as gigantic pillars into the sky from peoples heads (easy to see where the other team was rushing to lol).

I'd speculate that a hardware error or instability lead to a few misplaced vertices for a couple of polygons just based on:
Removing overclock got rid of it after reboot.

Yeah I've been playing a bunch since I removed the OC and it's gone, so that was the issue.
