mouse or trackball or both?

hi
I work with computer for my job almost 9 hours a day and not long ago I was experiencing wrist pain that is difficult to tell how bad it was. I simply hated putting my hand on the mouse... later on I bought a decent wireless trackball from logitech. After half a year using the trackball I feel good with my wrist but I still find it difficult to control the trackball. I feel that I have to put extra energy on controlling the trackball.

I now put both mouse and trackball together and shift between each other.

Should I get back to mouse? or keep getting used to the trackball? or like now, shifting between both?

Month old reply, but have you tried a trackball mouse engineered in Japan?

Elecom comes to mind and you can find plenty on eBay.

Maybe those are easier to control.

One of the things that completely solved my wrist pain was NOT using the home row and keeping my hands at a more natural for my arms 45 degree'ish angle to the keyboard instead of trying to force my arms/hands/wrists to that 90 degree angle to the keyboard that everyone seems to say is the "correct" position..

I also sit and work at the computer for 8 to 16 hours or more a day usually being a remote system administrator.

hi Guys
I've got a vertical mouse now. In my opinion, it's better than a trackball, at least I have better control of it. Unfortunately, wrist pain doesn't seem to disappear.....
