I messed it up

OK, I have Windows 10 and was using Windows live Mail for the last year or so
(Because it's easier). I tried to do a System Restore on the Windows 10, and it
went back to scratch and wiped the Windows Live Mail. Is there an easy way to
get the Windows Live Mail back. Every time I try to install a new version from
Google I get a whole lot of other rubbish I don't want.

OK it's all looking miles too hard, so I will bight the bullet and use the Mail service that comes with Windows 10. I will have a million questions but maybe this 77 year old brain needs the exercise.
Question A: How do I put all my e-mail addresses into the address book. Any other tips people can give me will be appreciated as I am completely green with anything above Windows 7. I wait with baited breath.

If you are using Windows "Live" mail then I am assuming that you have a live mail email address. I think that you are talking about the Windows mail client which should have gone back on when you (inadvertantly?) re-installed Windows 10. Anyway if you have a live mail email address then everything should still be on-line at Hotmail.com. For instance I have a live mail email address, ****-**-***-****@live.co.uk. and I can access that by going to:-

https://login.live.com/login.srf?wa...x&lc=2057&id=64855&mkt=en-gb&cbcxt=mai&snsc=1

Bit of a mouthful I know but that's Microsoft for you. Anyway can you confirm, or not, that what I am saying is correct? If you do have a "live" mail email address you should be able to follow that link and sign in to your on-line web mail account. Don't mess up the sign in process. You only have a couple of attempts to sign in and if you fail then you get locked out and that can be a nightmare trying to get your account back.

Of course everything that I have just typed will be irrelevant if you do not have a Microsoft email account.

When you download windows live essentials just unchecked everything but live mail, called a custom install for only what you want.

Thanks everybody for all your help, I now have the full Widows Live Mail accept for my address book. I know it must still be there, and it's just a case of working out how to get it. I will be extremely grateful for any tips to help this old brain box.
