installing game to multiple drives

my computer is very limited in space, so i decided id put my programs and games on flash drives, although I have come to be aware that it's not a simple thing to do with some programs, probably this game i'm trying to install now for example, but that's another story. I'm cheap and i don't want to buy an expensive flash drive. the game i'm trying to install requires just a small amount more space than what my flash has. I'm wondering if it's possible to install the game so that the files are split between two flashes so that i can use the program when both are inserted, and if so how?

Why wouldn't you just buy a 1TB hard drive like a normal person?? o_O

and no..you can't split game installs over multiple usb flash drives... stop being so cheap and just buy a storage drive..a WD Blue 1TB is like $49 at newegg like Agent posted!

Technically you could create some symbolic links between file systems, but it would be super rigged and the effort would outweigh the benefit.

Just get a larger drive.

I can't afford that right now and even if i buy one now, i'll have to wait, i want to play now. how complicated is it to do this linking of file systems. even if it's impractical, why wouldn't you want me to know what can and can't be done. comon'

He wants to split the game files. Symbolic links isn't meant for that. What he wants to do is like RAID 0 in a sense.

What's your idea of a symlink? Making an analogy to raid0 doesn't really contribute to the conversation when the requirements were already understood.

That being said, @daevon 64g USB sticks are like $15-20. You can get 1tb externals for $50. Hell you could even roll the $50 into a newer computer instead. You'll have a better computing experience by not cheaping out at every opportunity.

The OP specified that he wanted to split the game into two parts between two different USB drives. A symlink is only for moving a program or file from one drive to another. That won't accomplish what the OP wants. So in a sense he's wants like a "RAID 0" type thing here which can't be achieved.

thanks everyone but as much as you insist I wont put any more money into this shit computer, i'm planning on buying something nice in the future but i just want to make the most of the stuff i have laying around me, it don't mind breaking my neck getting this to work, that being said, why wouldn't any of the ideas mentioned before work? if anything can just point me in the right direction, it'll be much appreciated.
