Any applications that keep track of serial number?

Long time no see!

So my laptop was stolen last night, and the police wanted a serial number to put in their database. I can't seem to find the photo I took of the serial number, so I was wondering if there were any common web applications or anything of that sort that might keep track of the serial number if I logged in via my laptop in the past.

Best,

EDIT: I use Google applications very often, I have LastPass, and I have TeamViewer installed on the laptop. I have been looking all over in those applications for the serial number, but have had zero luck. If you know where they are stored in those apps, let me know!

I do believe you are out of luck my friend. Programs like that aren't designed to retrieve and store serial numbers. Probably the only way to get it is if you have receipt or the box it came in.

True. They keep track of MACs, IPs, device names, etc... but doesn't seem common [or possible] to grab the SN. I'm sure I've tossed the box, and I seem to have taken pictures of the SNs for every other device that I own. A real Murphy's Law situation.

You could throw them in any real application you wanted such as LastPass or a Google docs spreadsheet, or even notepad in Google drive or something, but it would all be a manual process.

I'd keep it on some kind of cloud storage device in case the device you were going to locally store it in also got stolen or something.

That sounds lame though, thieves suck

Turns out I had registered the SN on ASUS’s site under an old email, so I was able to retrieve it after all. Thanks for the help!
