How to Update an "exe." File?

Hey guys,

I have an exe. file, which needs an update... Possibly. Can I do it myself or do I need the person who developed it?

The reason I think it needs an update is b/c the site I use it on made an update to their system, which doesn't allow the files to work, anymore

You would need to contact developer.

To update an exe file? Eh, that may be tedious, seeing as how a future update isn't packed in a past file.

What exactly is this? You don't use .exe files with websites as you have indicated.
