Unable to connect to Net

I have an older Acer tablet which I want to use. When I try to connect to my home network it tells me a I have a strong Wi-fi signal but when I hit connect is comes back with authentication problem. Also trying to connect an Averatec 12" laptop as well. I get a line which asks for the SSID number. Is this on my Belkin Router or where do I find it? i tried some of those numbers and they don't seem to work. Also trying to do this with wi-fi on the laptop. Please help.

The SSID is the same as a network name. Who set up the network initially? If it was your ISP most likely they have a sticker or something on the router with the SSID/name and password.
