Build Boosted PC

Hi guys, I have a few old used processors, i3 and pentium 4. I was thinking of building a parallel system to use pentium 4 helps i3 to process information, is it possible? and how should I build it?
(I have several other old PC parts I want to reuse too)

As far as know the only way to do this would be manually, you build multiple pc's and you personally delegate different jobs to each to spread the workload, I don't think there's any way to spread a task over multiple cpu's in different systems, there's probably specialist computers out there that can, but most likely no good solution for home desktops. Also I doubt the benefits would be worth the effort and logistics of adding such underpowered components together when there's cheap newer cpu's that will perform much better.

That would just slow your tasks down.

You could MPI cluster some crap but you'll always be waiting on the P4 to complete its thread. The parallel compute you'd expect to gain isn't worth the electricity tbh.

An 8-core 16 thread CPU is under $200.
