I have an older laptop with Win10. It has gotten really slow and I'm not certain the main reason other than it being old. Would a fresh reformatting and win10 reinstall tend to do much in that case?
It was much faster when I first got it. I got it mostly to watch streaming movies/tv or .iso files on vlc. Lots of stalling now.You have a low end cpu along with only 4gb of ram. So basically the only thing you can do is increase the ram but it's still gonna be slow. If you go into device manager and expand disk drives you can list what model is shows and we can tell you if it's an ssd or mechanical drive. Most likely a mechanical drive though. An ssd would also help.

How much better do laptops work with the paid version of cclean versus free?Yeah it is. So an getting an SSD would definitely help as well as getting more ram.
