BLUETOOTH primer please

Hi all,
I'm completely ignorant about Bluetooth; but I believe it will allow me to connect my Windows 7 desktop to my Blackberry Playbook, so that I can transfer images etc. from the Playbook to the desktop. However l have no idea what l need or how to do this.
Any help is appreciated.

Wow, there's a blast from the past.

Bluetooth is just wireless connectivity. I do not recall if playbooks allow you to transfer files this way or not. Playbooks should also have wifi connectivity. If you can get the QNX browser to work on a modern site you might be better off using a cloud service to transfer the files to.

I've since been told by the guys at Crackberry that the Playbook's Bluetooth is no good for
pairing it to my laptop, which is what I wanted to use it for.
